where I want to teach at.
The dean of the science/math programme that they're starting up seeming genuinely excited that I not only have a masters in math but am also a certified teacher. Also, as sheer good fortune would have it, she's a friend of one of the professors at my university, and this professor is one of two whom I lead recitation sections for, and she apparently had very nice things to say about me. We scheduled a time next week for me to give a sample lesson on how the slope of a line relates to average rate of change.
Overall, I think both of us got mutually good impressions of each other, so I have a really good feeling about this. I'm trying (and failing) not to bank too much on this because I really would like to have this job, but we'll see. I'm optimistic, and I don't think that this optimism is misplaced based on my meeting. So yeah.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

That's pretty exciting. I'm glad you both had good impressions of the other.
Also, Utar, why can't I comment on your post on FB? I wanted to prove things were divisible by 11....

I'm going on a three-day drinking binge mountain trip next week with 3 of my friends.
I'll probably be able to better answer this question then. Up until know I have successfully stayed friends with all of the vast amounts of alcohol I have consumed.

Hmm, it seems I had you on limited profile for some reason, Jace. Now you are free to prove divisibility by 11!
