XKCD's new comic features a Wikipedia article that doesn't exist, it got created, uncreated, and now there's an argument on its talk page. I'm hoping it becomes interesting.

Knew what it would be as soon as I saw the topic title. XKCD has really gone unfunny, IMO.
I agree with Alex, perhaps for different reasons though. XKCD has just gotten too smart for me.
Now Dino Comics on the other hand is still great as ever.

I too have stopped reading xkcd. Basically the only comics I follow nowadays are Dinosaur Comics and MS Paint Adventures.

I think I get the "smart" half of the joke (like I get what a malamanteau would be) but I'm missing the other half of it (which words "wikipedia really likes").
So yeah, to echo pretty much everyone else, this is a terrible joke.
That said, there's really not a particular reason to *quit* reading XKCD. It's largely single-panel stuff, and pretty quick to read. The only things I've been reading and decided "no. This needs to stop. Right now," have been like MegaTokyo and uh... Errant Story. Does anyone remember what Exploitation Now was? Because it was stupid and then had an awesome meditation on some stuff focusing on some ancillary characters. Anyway.

Y'know, I must be like two years behind on Sluggy Freelance. I used to enjoy that back in the day, but then quit reading because of a combination of waiting up so that I could read a couple of months at once and a buddy of mine who got creepily into it, so that I felt the need to distance myself. But it's been some years, and that guy no longer talks about it way too much.
