I hate having unpitted olives in my salad.

It makes it very difficult to eat and possibly very painful, if I don't know they are not pitted.

I've found egg shell in my salad before. Totally not the same as mine could've killed me and the people really didn't care one bit. Oh well, I've never been to a place that had whole olives only the standard sliced ones that are obviously from a huge can.

This is America! I can't believe they still have pitted olives here. I'm not a big olive guy though, unless it's green olives, in which case I love them.

Why hasn't anyone invented seedless olives? We have seedless grapes, seedless oranges and seedless watermelons, why does anything else have seeds? Get on this, science!

While we're at it, why hasn't their been modified pigs to produce more bacon? Or Coconuts that are actually edible in any form.

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

Seedless grapes have always creeped me the hell out. Like: where do they come from? They don't have seeds. How do we grow them?

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Seedless grapes are hybrids. By cross breeding the seed and pollen of different fruits, you gain an infertile hybrid, I.E. seedless.

Interestingly, both of those explanations quell my worries more or less entirely.

I don't even know where you find seeded grapes in the US. The first time I had a grape in Germany it had seeds, and I was completely confused as to what the hell I was eating. "This tastes like a grape, but why does it have seeds?" DERP
But yeah, I don't know why anyone would ever make a salad with unpitted olives. That's like making a chicken sandwich with the bones still in the chicken.
