So, where Mark lives and where I live are very safe. We don't live in the city proper (and even most of the city is just fine). I vote New York too, but only because I've never been there and it might be cool. But I think we'd probably have more room (houses rather than apartments?) in Detroit.
It is uncertain how much room I would have come summer of 2011. But I also vote for NY.
