How is everybody doing?! I feel like I haven't posted here in a while, and I feel bad about not doing so. Anyway, I figured I'd come in and check in with everybody. A lot of things have happened since I last came on here.
Well, I suppose I should start off with the romance. Remember a while back when I made that topic about asking that girl Angelina out? Well, a lot has happened since then. She told me she wasn't interested at the time, but things could change and she'd pray they did... I waited a little while, she turned 16, and I asked her on a date. To my sheer shock, she said yes. I was very excited and felt like the happiest man alive.
Now, sounds good, right? WRONG! Little did I know that she would break my heart the next day. I get a telephone call from her. When she agreed to go out with me, she was very tired. I even point-blank asked her if she was sure what she was saying and not just saying things because she was tired. She assured me she wasn't. Well, she told me she wasn't interested in dating me (it felt wrong the minute she said it, apparently). The only reason why she agreed to date me was because I made her "feel guilty". She was 99% sure it wouldn't work out when she said yes; however, she figured I would see it wouldn't work if she said yes.
It gets even worse. She then told me that when she said she was "curious", she was talking about getting to know me better as a friend. Honestly, that's complete and utter bull. If she were talking to me about friendship, she wouldn't have called back and said "I'm not interested" and "It felt wrong." If she truly was referring to friendship, she's got a warped perception of how it goes. She was angry with me and asked why I even bothered asking her out again when she told me she wasn't interested the first time... I proceeded to tell her that I did only because she would add an after thought that gave me hope or reason to believe she wasn't being honest with her feelings. In retrospect, she led me on. I haven't seen her since this whole fiasco, and I'm not ready to face her. For someone who said she didn't want to hurt me, she did a very poor job of it.
I know, it's unfortunate. The good news is, I've learned from this experience. I learned not to wear my heart on my sleeve and to be more cautious with my feelings. I learned not to fall into the "the future might change" trap. I'm better than that and fully ready to move on and find a woman who actually appreciates me and respects me enough to not hurt me. As far as friendship with Angelina goes, I don't know. I told her I would be friends with her, but she really hurt me. Not only that, she only bothers with me when all of her other friends are gone. Sometimes, I feel like I'm only there for her personal convenience. Yeah, I'm not gonna subject myself to that.
Anyway, that's pretty much been my life since I last saw you guys. Oh, and I got my permit!! Yeah, so those were the two big things in my life. The end of a dream and the beginning of roadway adventures. So, how's everything been going with you guys?

Good lord, to be a teenager again.
I would love it. It's so simple compared to nowadays.

Simple? This is crazy.
So, Tony, what happened to your previous account?

I think life is much more simple now that my teenage days.

Oh, you mean the previous account? Yeah, I kinda got into it with some FFXII fanboys. This happened about three weeks ago back when I thought FFXII was a terrible, terrible game. Now, it's my second favorite FF. Nothing will ever beat IX, though! <3

It's odd that IX is your favorite but that the really ancient titles, to which IX was (I think) supposed to be a throwback, are your least favorite. Is it that whatever you particularly like about IX has nothing to do with its retro-ness?

I like the old school feel, but it's the characters and story that do it for me. The game is just an enjoyable experience. I'm not saying the old ones are bad (except II, it's the worst); I just think the other titles are better.

What changed your mind about XII?
I myself have had a like/hate relationship with it. I eventually decide to play it, play it for a week or two, and by the end of the time period, I've grown bored and annoyed with it. Then I wait until it feels fresh again, which usually takes 3+ months.

I thought I saw upon the stair a little man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today. Oh how I wish he'd go away.
AHEM! There's SAND on my BOOTS!

Spock - Well, FFXII starts off really slow. Even with the epic opening cutscene, things seem like they don't have much point. The first time I tried playing, I quit at Dreadnought Leviathan. The second time I started over, I got past Leviathan but got stuck at the Yensa-Sandsea. On my third attempt, I did the hunts, watched the cutscenes, and beat the parts I got stuck at. I really started to get into the game right around the time I picked up the first Esper (Tomb of Raithwall). If you're not into the game by then, your best bet is to quit. It doesn't get much different. Of course, I don't know how far you are... I definitely feel you where you say it takes a while to get interested. It took me a LONG time, but the game draws you in once you get to the point of interest.
Brandon - I agree, dude. My one friend said she didn't have a boyfriend (facebook said she did). Her mom said I should marry her daughter because she liked me. I was going to ask her out, but apparently she is with the boyfriend listed on Facebook that she said she wasn't with. I've got to stop trying to date my friends, lol.

I'm far enough into it to want to finish it eventually. I'm in the Lighthouse, I think the second to last dungeon.

Oh, wow, I'm actually heading there right now. Also, you're at the final dungeon, bud. Bahamut is a string of battles. It's not going to be as long as the Pharos, that's for sure! ;)

I beat Final Fantasy XII. It was an amazing game. 9/10. You should finish it, Spock. The cutscenes at Pharos are really interesting and shocking. You're almost there, dude! You can finish it!!! Believe in yourself!!
