And every time, without question, a specific man comes on, my grandmother has to say, "There's the adulterer again." It about cracks me up every time.

I thought I saw upon the stair a little man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today. Oh how I wish he'd go away.
My grandma used to watch Lawrence Welk every weekend whenever she could. She had old records and cassettes of his that she would listen to of him, too. One day, though, she mentioned that she lost one of her favorite tapes that had some of her favorite performances on it.
That was several, several months before she passed away.
Sometime after that, my sister and I were cleaning out our rooms and found an old radio/cassette player that my grandma had given us this one time after we'd spent the day at her apartment. We opened up the player and lo and behold, it was that tape that she'd lost such a long time ago. We listened to it for awhile but it was really hard for us to hear it since the last time we'd heard it was... well, when my grandma was still with us.
The tape now sits with some letters that my grandma wrote along with some other memory-related pieces of her in a case in my parents' house. Glad to know it wasn't just my grandma who liked the guy!
