A lot of them have old or archived topics and very little activity anymore. But this one is still kicking. Kudos to all you guys.
Also: Archived topics freak me out. It's very weird reading what I wrote three years ago. This is why I don't keep diaries. (Odd connection note: I did write in my journal-thing in my Animal Crossing GCN game every Birthday for a while. I really did enjoy using that keyboard/controller contraption. And it was enjoyable. I wonder why I don't do it in real life?)

Maybe there's some browser extension that helps -- dunno, don't really use them. Nice to see you post.
Well what I mean is, the list of favourite boards, if you remove one in the middle, and then add a new one, it adds it to the bottom. So if you want to replace one in the middle, you need to delete and re-add all of them.
I lost permission into a secret board that way.

I bet Kodi or AMan could write a little bit of code that would correct that for you.
I don't think I'd be able to do that because you'd need JavaScript, not just CSS, and I've still successfully resisted learning JavaScript. But the ability to reorder your favorite boards would be a very sensible feature request for the GameFAQs management.
So we meet again, Hye! I'm Mimir. Remember way back in 2005 when we had a long and circuitous argument about the appropriateness of the phrase "happy holidays"? For some perverse reason to which not even I am privy, I still have a copy of that topic collecting proverbial dust on my hard disk. I can get rid of it if its existence distresses you.

Sadly I can't remember what my stance would have been but I am sure I could take a side and argue it effectively if need be. I do remember you though Mimir. What are you holding onto it for, exactly?

At the time, you were strongly against it. I originally saved the topic so it could serve for me as an example of how catastrophically a debate could be derailed if I didn't keep my eyes on the ball. Now, it no longer has any real function.

Hye, how do you feel about TNA?

1. I have no problem with Happy Holidays, except that it is used strictly as a replacement for Merry Christmas, and is used as a guilt-free way of saying it. If it is to wish a large group of people a Happy Holiday from a large agency or the Government, I can understand. But when it is more personal, it is an expression of one's own beliefs more than an escape-blame situation. And in those cases, no one should feel wrong to wish someone well. So, when it is used like that, I am against it. And I mean, Christmas isn't exactly crowded with other popular or well-celebrated Holidays. Who are you trying to fool? It's not as if it's a week of festivals.
2. TNA is the promotion I follow the closest, but that dos not mean I love everything it does. In fact, I find I love very little that they do, especially since the events of 1/4. The show is very loosely focused, mismanages its talent like crazy, pushes the completely wrong characters, does not have a tight grip on them (last seen: Mr. Anderson vs. The Pope's ending, where Anderson broke character to do a little personal vendetta-ing, not that it matters since both characters were poorly managed in the feud itself.), and can not advertise their show for ****. The main thing I like about TNA are the wrestlers themselves. I like all of Fourtune, London Brawling, Mr. Anderson and The Pope, normal or crazy Kurt Angle (but not winning streak Kurt Angle), The Motor City Machine Guns, etc. And that TNA can't use them close to properly is what really annoys me.
I do like the WWE, and I do watch it when I can (I am rarely home on Mondays, or Thursdays for that matter.) and their characters have been getting better as of late, especially with the increase of talent in the absence of Triple H. In fact, I was not a John Cena fan at all (in the ring) until I went to my latest RAW show, where I saw in person the reaction he got. And while I didn't like how they handled him in the rumble on RAW last night, I do like the direction they are taking him in, even if I hate Wade Barrett (Heath Slater, however, is awesome.)
My main problem with the WWE is their refusal or resistance to run some storylines. Take the current Undertaker vs. Kane storyline with Paul Bearer's return for example. Sure, it could be seen as giving the fans what they want - but it is giving them what they want years after when they should have, with a return that is huge, but logical and predictable. Any fantasy booker would have had this storyline run its course, maybe twice by now. I cannot give them any credit for the storyline because they had the potential to run it, and just started now. That, and I am tired of the way WWE's characters have stayed in their comfort zone for too long.
I love Sheamus, I love Zack Ryder, I enjoy the new-look Miz. I like Randy Orton (though don't understand why they cheer him so much, or how he is such a face, or anything about his current character at all, including his completely heel [and completely awesome] theme.) I want to like Morrison (but can't), I want to like Kofi Kingston (but haven't been given any reason to except his non-stop smile titantron - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swo685CvdXo - seriously at one show I went to, they went to commercial break on this theme, and I was laughing hysterically by the time they ended it. That video on a seemingly endless loop would crack any prisoner.)
So, in total, I like wrestling. Hopefully the WWE does not halt its new talent initiative when Triple H return. In fact, hopefully Triple H enjoys his newly built-on corner office so much he never returns to the ring. The WWE is much better off without him. They sorely needed to develop new stars, and I am very happy with the reputation Sheamus has now (though it is completely unfounded as I don't think he ever won the title cleanly.) Meanwhile, TNA has to improve in so many areas it is not funny. But I do not think that the WWE will ever be able to make characters that appeal to me as much as TNA will be able to. The way they interact in TNA, it is like the way they used to interact in the WWF. Of course, I think TNA should have more interaction, but the WWE has thrown that idea out the window! Those London Brawling skits turned me into a megafan instantly, and the way Mag-daddy is on the mic, it can't be matched. So that is how I feel.

Ohhhhhhh! Paul Bearer = Pall Bearer
1/4 is actually what got me back into wrestling again. I had stopped watching around the end of 1998 or beginning of 1999. And I was always a big WCW guy. So when I heard the hype that Hogan was coming back I couldn't help but be a little curious. I really got hooked, it was like they were picking up right where 1999 left off and I hadn't missed a single episode.
Now since then I still kind of shudder to see Hulk Hogan, he has always been a terrible face, at least from 1995 to 96 he was, which was the only time I really followed him. But mostly the two I have enjoyed are Eric Bishoff who I really love for some reason and of course Ric Flair who is the greatest entertainer of all time.
I agree with you that TNA seems at a loss as to what to do with their talent. Fortune, Anderson, Pope, the Machine Guns, even folks like Lethal, and Gen Me are fairly entertaining. It seems like they have the pieces to make a great product but something on the assembly line isn't quite functioning right. I blame the desire to draw an audience really, they seem to do very flashy things but with very little buildup. Or they just let things drag forever (the Sting and Nash storyline).
But that being said I am still thoroughly entertained every week. And I'm excited for Bound for Glory as it has the potential to be a turning point for the company.
The only thing I really want is a Heel announcer the likes of Bobby Heenan. I think Scott Hall could pull it off. But only because I like him, but he can't wrestle anymore.

Every time I try to get into TNA, I get annoyed to the point I can't watch the rest of the show and subsequently give up on watching it for another few months. WWE, however, has and always will be a passion of mine ever since late 1991.

The last RAW show I was at, which was prior to Dibiase's unfair and undeserved push with Maryse (though after he got the Million Dollar Belt), and it was like a 5 v 5, and Jericho was on the same team as Dibiase. Dibiase was the whipping man in the match (the heel who could afford to go under.) and he received a botched aerial move. He was hurt pretty bad, at least winded, and rolled around. At this point, most of the heels and faces were outside the ring, so when it ended they all stayed there, patrolling their section. Jericho was in front of me, looking fierce, and standing right next to us. I mean, very close. So Dibiase rolls out of the ring in pain, as Jericho patrols the area trying to intimidate the crowd while still being on the losing end.
And Dibiase grabs him, because he can't stand. And Jericho FREAKS out. He flinches, his eyes get huge, he turns to the crowd to destroy the person who did that. And then he flinches back to the guy still holding on to him, and he instantly becomes compassionate and holds Ted up and helps him to the back.
But the look on his face scared me greatly. And he probably could have hit me. Which probably would have resulted in a great lawsuit in my favour. But whenever I think of Jericho, I think of that moment, how unfriendly he seemed to be towards the crowd. I mean the faces ran their hands through the crowd, and in TNA they always jump into the crowd and the crowd is all over them, so it struck me as extremely odd that Jericho wasn't expecting this to happen, even though it DIDN'T happen.
Also, I don't know what anyone sees in any of The Million Dollar Man's children.

Uh, you can organize your Favourites now. Maybe it happened during the redesign. I don't know when it happened, exactly, but I just found out about it now, so I'll assume it happened during the redesign. it seems like something they should have announced. I feel bad now for mentioning it on my Feedback Report. Only slightly bad.
