Going to Texas tomorrow for a conference. I put my clothes in my bag, and now I'm all, is that it?

Toothbrush etc?
Also I occasionally forget underwear or socks. That's always a Thing.

There are three main pieces to packing, for me:
1. Clothes
2. Bathroom stuff (includes toothbrush, towel, razor, etc)
3. Miscellany (usually related to the trip itself)
For that last category, that includes conference materials if it's a conference, maybe some fun stuff if it's a family trip, workshop/retreat stuff if I'm doing a youth event, etc. That usually covers it.
I usually forego bringing sleep-related things unless I absolutely have to. This turned out to be a bad decision at the last youth retreat I helped organize, where I bundled up in a hoodie and thought I could sleep on the floor. Well, that's what I did, except since I was one of the people helping organize I only slept 3ish hours both nights. Mmm, great nap.

The thing I forgot was a comb. Luckily I have fingers.
Also, it's not something I necessarily forgot, but I regretted not bringing a bathing suit.

My dad used to say to lay out everything you want for a vacation and all the money, and then, when you wake up in the morning, leave half of it and double the money.
More for vacations than a conference trip, but I like it.
