I don't mind Republicans having the House, so long as their majority is not enough to override presidential vetoes. I'm a moderate, I think right and left both have some good ideas, but I probably lean a tiny bit left. And I'd hate to see America destroy its chance at becoming a civilized country by repealing what I think is a good plan for the future of health care.

See, I think Obamacare is one of the the most fetid and disgusting pieces of legislature this country has ever seen.

It must go.

And for the record my two biggest points of interest in this election were, in this order:

1. The economy
2. Healthcare

I figured you disliked the health care. Would you elaborate which parts you dislike about it?

Another time, yes.

I'm currently getting dressed for a random Tuesday night at the bar.

Yeah, I'm uninformed on the healthcare issue. All I support is bringing healthcare to as many people as possible, especially underprivileged people. From what I read Obama's plans would do just that, so I supported it, but obviously it's more complicated than that.

Seth: What are you making?
Evan: I'm just drilling holes. Last two weeks, **** it.

Actually, that's fair enough- I mean, I'd like to discuss the issue, but I don't want to embroil PMS in a debate about politics. Politics are so tacky anyways.

AMan - Don't worry, I don't think anybody *really* knows how things will pan out in the end. And if they tell you they do, they're the last person you should ask! Whether they're for it or against it. The ideology is one thing that's debatable. The longterm effects are not always easy to obtain. Two different studies can predict radically different outcomes.

What I tried to do was basically read an overview of the health care plan. Then, read why Democrats like the plan. Then read why Republicans hate it. Then read Democrats explain each of the reasons Republicans dislike it and why they are wrong or misinformed. Then read Republicans explain each of the reasons Democrats like it and why they are wrong or misinformed. In any order I guess.

There is a lot of misinformation out there. I feel like the only point of reading up on it is so you can pick out some of the more common pieces of misinformation and not fall prey to it.
