I've occasionally been tempted to write an ostensibly didactic children's story featuring incongruously advanced mathematics. Think "Vector Calculus with Winnie-the-Pooh", or a Hardy Boys book called "The Monster Group". These come surprisingly close:

If f_n is continuous on [a, b] for all n, (f_n(x)) is nonincreasing for each x, and (f_n) goes pointwise to a continuous f, then (f_n) goes to f uniformly.
Is it like "the average knife wound leaks .35 L of blood per minute, however each subsequent wound will leak blood only at a rate equal to 1/(n+1) L/min. Assume that .1 L of blood will cover four square centimeters; if there are two stab victims and the WHOLE F****ING ROOM IS COVERED WITH BLOOD how many times was each victim stabbed?"

No, but the first one, say, has people at a party and when the guests left, they all shook hands and each of them, when asked by the host, said they shook a different number of hands. Then the dead body is found, and 3 of the guests have gunpowder residue on their hands, and so you (or the protagonist, Ravi) can figure out who killed him using the facts that you don't shake your spouse's hand and the host is the only person who is allowed to duplicate a number.
