So, did you hear about The Elder Scrolls V? Apparently they announced it for 11/11/11, to be set in Skyrim? I only saw a trailer which wasn't anything to do with actual gameplay... but still. Yay!
Now I just need a reliable full time job and nothing can stop me from upgrading and buying it!!

Ugh yes. It was bad enough that I was going to have to upgrade for Mass Effect 3, but I've basically been in the position of needing to upgrade since Bloodmoon. I'm still holding out for a game set in the DMZ between Valenwood and Elsweyr, but honestly Bloodmoon was gorgeous and I loved everything about it, so I can only assume it'll go down nothing short of awesomely.
I haven't seen the trailer though. But apparently Oblivion was using a patch job of the Morrowind engine which was itself just a patch job of the Daggerfall engine, so it shouldn't be too much different.

I guess they're doing away with the old Oblivion/Fallout 3/New Vegas engine and all of its buggy misery. Then again a brand new engine could mean a slew of brand new flaws, but w/e I'm pumped it's coming out in less than a year.

Right-o, they scrapped the old engine. We can assume the new one will probably be better, but being the first game on a new engine can lead to a pretty buggy game. However, since I probably won't be able to afford it until TES VI comes out, I'm sure it'll be fixed by then.

Oh good Lord, bugs in a TES game? How ever will we manage?
But seriously Morrowind is responsible for my continually cavalier attitude in PC games toward bugs. I will often be confused by a section in a game and figure "oh well clearly some important trigger didn't go off, I'd better reload five or six times and look up console commands instead of exploring the area further."

It's times like these I'm strangely glad I started with Oblivion.

Yeah, I had a lot of mods on my game, many of which kind of conflicted, especially because my LGNPC mods were outdated. So I have spent many hours trying to locate the problems in the Construction Set. I hope the Construction Set is there for Skyrim, though I don't know why they wouldn't put it in.
