You know, the one that had our names by our city of residence.

If there is, I bet Kodi or Jordan could think of a way to scrape all the pins from the map and then determine the optimal (least distance travelled when totalled between all PMSians) meeting place.
I don't remember seeing such a map, but I agree that one ought to exist.

I'll check my bookmarks when I get home tonight. I've got to have it somewhere.

Bummer, the link must have been on my old lappy that took a crap a year ago because I don't have it anymore. I did re-discover the racial slur database that mods here use in case they are fuzzy on the meaning of a word. And several xkcd's that were amusing. And a link to the best local italian joints. And etc, etc, etc.

iirc jon's the one who set it up, so hopefully he checks in soon.

I smell sex and candy here.
...can I get that database? For scholarly research purposes, of course.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Certainly, research, certainly. I didn't have your email, so I sent it via AIM.

Unfortunately it wasn't me, so... I have no idea what happened to the map.

Okay, kids, add away:

You need to log into a Google Account first to edit the map. Once you're logged into, search for your city, choose "Save to…", and save it to the PMS map. Then go to the PMS map and add your name to the name of the placemark.

This is pretty cool! I dropped it as close as possible to my actual computer desk. :D

Seth: What are you making?
Evan: I'm just drilling holes. Last two weeks, **** it.
I was tempted to do that, too, but I figure that whoever lurks here doesn't really need to know exactly which dormitory I live in. It was funny to drop to street-level view and be able to recognize your house, though.

On it, son.
I'm so far away...

Nice! I placed my marker near my place but not exactly on it, so for the record, I don't live in the Starbucks that shows up on street view.

Utar, I had no idea you lived so close. I'm going to Rx for brunch tomorrow with some friends so maybe I'll come say hi!

Sweet. I live just catty corner to Rx. I might be at church or at brunch with one of my friends though...if you haven't been to Marigold Kitchen before, you should definitely check it out. It's about the same price as Rx but ten times better.

Sweet! I added myself and apparently I live pretty close to...someone. They live in Tinley Park but didn't put a name. That's like 45 minutes away from me. (maybe less it's been a while since I drove out that way). I'm also not TOO far from Spock or Heydude, although they are somewhat of a distance away.

I've used http://www.geomidpoint.com to add the center of gravity and center of minimum distance (excluding the three outliers, Jon, Fred, and Brandon) to the map. It turns that I, of course, am the center of PMS. Or at least, the closest to the center. (Acronym still funny?)

Heh. I pass through the center of gravity and center of minimum distance when driving from NY to Cleveland. Incredibly convenient meet up spots if we ever make it happen.
We should just do it in Youngstown. It's close by, and delightfully miserable.
