Who ya rooting for? Red Wings here, of course. They've managed to come back to 3-3 from 0-3 in the series and are relly starting to put the beatdown on San Jose.
My wife watches hockey with me which is uh-mazing!
Rangers fan =/
I guess the Red Wings, they were my #2 growing up. But in all seriousness I really don't care...

I threw this together at the beginning of the playoffs. I'll be honest. I pay much more attention in April and May than in November and December.

Sad that you hate the Wings so much! I've always viewed them as a classy, put-together team. I have nice memories of meeting Paul Coffey and Dino Cicarelli at the park by my house (they played a charity baseball game there once a year; I peed in the bathroom right next to Paul Coffey; when I went to go get autographs I had nothing for the players to write on, and Dino C. wasn't above signing a paper hot dog wrapper I'd gotten from under the stands).
The only team I root against is the Penguins. A) I don't like Crosby and B) I definitely don't like being beaten in the Finals.
Also: LOL Hossa
I think a lot of my anti-Wings sentiments stem from my Chicago upbringing and the disdain the Chicago media has shown the last 15+ years when the Wings really became an elite franchise (especially as the Blackhawks were bottom-dwellers). I should clarify that I have absolutely nothing against the franchise's fanbase, unlike my feeling towards Penguin fans.

Anti-wings sentiment is definitely common. Kind of like how lots of people hate the Yankees. Not quite that degree, because the Yanks have held supreme dominance for so many years, whereas the Wings are just big time contenders. If you're not in the winning state, chances are you're gonna hate.
But yeah, they are a good team, and pretty classy, I'd agree. Respectable veteran players were what made the Wing's heydays so great. Yzerman, the Russian five (ok, Fedorov wasn't fully respectable, he was kind of arrogant), Bauman, etc..

I guess going to school in Pennsylvania and living in NY, I really don't feel the anti-Wings vibe. Then again, I grew up hating the Devils, and still do.
