But I did laugh when I first botted it up and a wallpaper that I got back on my first (personal) computer in 2003 was, at actual size, a little rectangle in the middle of the screen.

I'm thinking now that's there's no point in having windows maximized anymore.

As in more pixels, or smaller pixels, James?
Good question. Both? I'm not sure. I suppose I could calculate it using area, unless there's just some menu that tells me.

DPI would be dots per inch. More means smaller pixels. It may be in your monitor's documentation or it may not be. I just figured a math teacher like you would just whip up the answer real quick. :P
I assume you have a 16:9 monitor so since you have a 27" monitor, I guess that'd be 23.532" wide and 13.238" inches tall, for a total area of 311.516616 inĀ², unless it's been entirely too long since math class and I've screwed it up. Since I don't know the number of pixels I can't go any further.
From what I've looked up/calculated, the new DPI is 109 and the old one was 98.
