Happy 11th Anniversary, PMS!

That's right, it's been 11 years since our good board was founded. Crazy, right?

I don't know how much longer we'll be going, as we've shrunk a lot since last year. (But if we make it 4 more years, I'll have been a PMSian for half my life! And since I was the oldest person on the board when we started [except Solo], that would be true for the rest of you, too.) Of course, even if the board isn't still around in 4 years, it doesn't mean I'll not have been a PMSian for half my life. Or that I won't still be one.

We're all affected each others' lives in pretty significant ways. Several of us have met in person (not counting the ones who knew each other before) and even forged actual meatspace friendships. And even without the board, we're all friends on Facebook or can communicate in other places. (For example, Jordan doesn't come here any more, but with FB and Twitter communications he still kinda feels like part of the group.)

Not that I'm being doom and gloomy. (Okay, maybe a little.) But my point is, will, by now, 11 years later, it's about more than the board. It's about a PMS Life.

But it's good to always have this home board to return to. I feel it's appropriate, in an election year, to say "PMS: 4 More Years! 4 More Years!"

Aww. Hurray! We can keep it going, guys. By posting on the internet.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Well, I've already been a PMSian more than half my life for 356 days and let me tell you, it feels normal.

Whoop whoop!

I'm glad I have PMS. It's made me think hard, laugh hard. It's given me a new very close friend (Travis) and his group of Virginia friends. Travis challenged me to step out of my shy comfort zone and do a radio show with him for a long time. I don't think I'd be writing blog posts for my church website if I hadn't gotten my start on good ol' LFAM. In fact, who knows, I might not even be with Jess if not for the conversations with Travis.

Thanks, PMS.

This May will mark my 11th year on PMS. Two years more and it will have been half of my life. That's... fairly impressive. Four more years!

Egads, I've almost been here for 11 years myself, then. Though I think I didn't migrate to PMS from the regular PM board until early summer. That is... nearly half my life, yes, and effectively the entirety of my life as I remember it.

Aye, PMS is a wonderful place, where the tavern's always open and the mead flows like wine. Many thoughtful moments have been shared, here. Sometimes it's funny to think that my friends here on PMS I have known longer than almost any other friends I have.

I hope to spend four more years here, as well. And hey, ZZT is back (at least for one topic) so who knows. Maybe NQ and BKB and Dark Penguin will show up, too. </facetiousness>

Gonna be coming up on 9 years for me, just a tad under half...

I still remember that July so many years ago. I was so young, so innocent, so...illegible...

Though I've been a bit absent as of late, it's still a wonderful milestone. I'm not quite at the half life mark yet, but it's still pretty significant. Here's to another however-long-we-can-keep-it-going.

I've actually been a little disappointed with PMS recently. Oh well. We wax and wane.

Yeah, it's too bad posting isn't what it used to be, but I'm glad to know each and every one of you. Having joined later than most of you, it'll be quite a while before my time on this site is over half my lifespan. I started posting about five and a half years ago, 20 is still much larger than 11.

You know what would be funny? If the very last post on PMS were a topic by Digitalpython revealing his name. Like the mystery finally solved. (I only thought of that because I noticed LP's sig.)

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long. I still remember hoping not to get modded for offtopic on the game board before this board existed.

He hit a negative weight sometime near the end of 2011 and has since drifted through the clouds looking for something to eat to get him back down to earth.
