What's good in Atlanta? We are going to be there on Friday. "We" here means I, my wife, our two kids (ages 2 and 9 months) and Jess's parents. Anything cool and family oriented?

I often worry that sufficient archiving and indexing will destroy any necessity for human interaction.
All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Better to have computers do the boring work of repeating the known and reminding the forgetful, so that we humans can focus on the much more important business of boldly going where no man has gone before.
On that note, I'll go back to wrestling with wxPython. GUIs are a female dog, my friends.

Yes! There are several "family friendly" things you can do here.
I'll create a short list and you can pick from there!
1. World of Coca-Cola (Coke factory; awesome tours)
2. Atlanta Aquarium (World's largest!)
3. Atlanta Underground (Cool shopping, fun vendors; Looney Tunes oriented)
4. Piedmont Park (Awesome park nestled in Atlanta where you can relax, have picnics, etc.)
5. SweetWater Brewery (Yes, it's a beer brewery, but it has live music and VERY large public courtyard; people often bring their dogs and it can be fun for the whole family!)
