What does PMS think of The New Yorker?

My dad subscribes to it. The short pieces in the front ("Goings-On About Town") and the humor pieces ("Shouts & Murmurs") are occasionally fun. But the cartoons are mediocre, the poetry is indecipherable, and I'll never forgive the magazine for publishing unapologetic bashes of The House at Pooh Corner and Star Wars Episode III. The former by Dorothy Parker, no less.

I mean most poetry is indecipherable. We kind of lost that one.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

I see that the author teaches at one Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. Yep.
