Do you go to the doctor when you get sick?

I sure don't, unless I am really bad off. I had a a cold and a throat infection of some sort (lots of pain, coughing up some nasties now and then) and some of my relatives were surprised to hear (at Lily's birthday party yesterday) that I hadn't gone to the doctor. I thought that was odd. I mean, I do have health insurance, but I kind of felt like I was going to have to ride out this cold whether I saw the doctor or not, so I didn't see much point.

Are any of you guys like that?

Yeah, same here. I usually just get better after a day or two, so I would rather spend that time resting in bed than traveling to see a doctor.

I wouldn't see a doctor for a cold or a fever or food poisoning, no. I only go to the doctor if I have reason to believe something worse is going on. And for checkups.

I got into the habit of not going while uninsured, but have carried it over.
