Refrigerator Problems

The refrigerator at my apartment keeps gathering water at first. It died down last winter so I didn't give it much mind, but now it is at it, and worse than ever. Nala noticed that there are two square holes or ducts (or something to that effect) in the back towards the top, and she actually caught water dripping from them. I told management, and they suggested I'd been adding too much new food at once, causing massive condensation. That seems like a fishy explanation. Anyone more knowledgeable know anything so I can say, "Hey, its actually this, and it can be repaired, so do it?"

It is condensation. How hot has it been out there?

Pretty hot. And bouncing around a lot. Is there anything I can do? Nala and I have put bowls underneath both holes to catch it, and it nearly filled one today.

EDIT:

A bit more specifically, tomorrow will be ranging from 66F to 95F, and that doesn't sound too out of line with how it was today.

Run a fan over the compressor to help vaporize the condensation. Although that may be your problem there. Not sure what type of fridge you have, but is the internal fan working?

I'm sorry, but what part is the compressor? And how would I tell if the internal fan was working?

It is a Roper fridge, if that helps any.

Copy/pasta

Sounds like the drain tube at the back of the fridge is plugged and not letting the condensation on the freezer to run out. Pull the fridge out and check for this tube on the back near the top where it is curved , that is where they plug up. I use a wet/dry vac on the bottom end. Some of them are easily removed for cleaning. If you have your owners manual it may tell you. you might find some diagrams here . http://www.fixya.com/

It IS the apartment's so I'm a bit nervous about doing anything that could damage it and make me liable to replace it. But if I call them I might suggest part of that so they quit dismissing it as unfixable.

You know I have about ninety-nine problems.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.
