This semester, I'm taking a seminar about teaching. The day before yesterday, the instructor was talking about scenarios in which you might have to teach a class on short notice. He said "Suppose, for example, Professor X was in some kind of disabling accident." I said "And that's why Professor X uses a wheelchair now."
