Okay. So, my favorite candy flavor is orange, and my least favorites are strawberry and cherry. I was eating a packet with a variety of colors. I quickly glanced at the pack, and was a bit disappointed. They all looked pinkish, which meant that they were likely strawberry or cherry. I set them down. After a bit, I reached over to grab one, and noticed something: really, they had been all orange; I just hadn't looked closely earlier. It made me stop to wonder what other things I sort of think aren't so awesome in my life, but I just haven't looked at closely enough.

To say that I'm outlandish and over-the-top doesn't even scrape the bottom.

To borrow a phrase "hella poignant."

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

I think the real take away is this:

YOU SERIOUSLY DON'T LIKE CHERRY!?!?!

I mean, I like orange as much as the next guy, but not liking cherry? Is that even possible?

I like the combination of mundanity and quasi-profundity. I'm reminded of http://arfer.net/pms/topics/55062302

But I like strawberry.

Man what were we all doing in June 2010 that completely kept us from remarking on that post?

Actually, Kodi, you have viable data on this. How many topics end up getting 0 replies? Is it a vanishingly small number that corresponds to when people are likely to be on vacation?

It seems like May is a big one. That makes sense with Post-a-Day-May last May (which enjoyed artificial quantitative posting), but not with May 2010.

I was busy graduating college and having my then-current job meltdown around that time, so I know I was rather not present during that era.

Also I'm a big fan of small realizations like this. Irony? Maybe.
