A friend offered me a key and I was like "oh, yeah okay." It was not more enthusiastic than that because this marks the first time that I have to turn down basic social interactions in order to play a video game on a schedule.

Don't get me wrong, I've blown off basic life events before, but I've never blown them off in advance, and that's the real difference.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Nice. Let us know how it is.

Whatever you do, encourage it to be more like Morrowind and less like however it is.

Trip report: I'm having fun, but for what the game brings to the table I have no right to be having that. Like I'm an archer, but hits don't register on anything ~15 feet away.

It is pretty and the land is atmospheric. The story is weird. I'm like 45 minutes in and twice so far someone has volunteered to spend eternity trapped inside something fighting an infinite evil so that someone else can go free. They do it a lot.

...and that rapidly turned atrocious, with about an hour of walking around a city talking to people in a chain. Might give it another go because it's there, but yeah. Don't recommend it.

The talking was atrocious because of how much you had to talk?

It was more that it was the primary gameplay feature for like an hour.
