I was volunteering at UW's commencement ceremony driving old people to and from their cars to the ceremony. On one of my runs to bring a group of people back to their car, my DS fell out of my pocket and onto the ground. Before I could react properly, the rear tire of the golf cart I was driving ran clean over it.
I thought it would be ok, as the screens remained uncracked and the damage only seemed superficial. But apparently something in there got crunched real good because it won't turn on anymore.
The whole time, all I could think was, "...If this was a Nintendo product from the 80s or 90s, it would probably still be working."
