And apparently a deal was struck to avoid teacher layoffs in NYC! Best 15 minutes ever!

I'm totally jelly. The higher ups (bosses of my boss) have so far pretty much rejected two mentoring program proposals I've tried putting through and despite her best efforts, my boss has hinted to me that me getting laid off is a vague possibility.
And yes, she really does speak in terms that ambiguous. So I have no idea.

Dangit, why's history always gotta happen while Larry the Cable Guy's on. Well, major congrats on both points.

Was it a car or a cat I saw?
I just heard about this! Very awesome.

Well I didn't see this coming at all. Someday I should get round to following the news.

"…the USA is like Microsoft—whatever they decide to use, no matter how brain-dead it is, everyone else copies it from them, willingly or otherwise."
Passed on going to Stonewall with some friends earlier tonight. Probably not the best decision.

That's great! As far as following the news, Kodi, it's pretty overrated in my opinion. I used to listen to the news all day long. It's 99% b.s., and about 1/3 of that just adds stress to your life. I'd say periodic dives into the news are good, like, once a week.

I approve on both fronts :)
The passing of gay marriage is a great step. I'm proud of New York for making this happen.
On the second front, teachers need to de-Unionize before they get any applause from me. **** unions. Especially the teachers union.

Nice.
I think what would be funny is if due to a slight wording error, gay marriage ended up not legalized but mandatory.
Really I just think that's a funny premise; confusing "allowed" and "mandatory."

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.
