OK, here's an explanation of the game. Even if you've played before, please read, because there are so many variations on this game that you may not have played the way we'll play now (and if you have rules changes to suggest I am more than happy to accommodate them).
Winning
The villager team wins if the werewolf dies at any time. The werewolf team wins if the werewolf is one of the last two players alive, unless the other player is the Hunter (in which case villagers win).
Playing
The game alternates day and night phases. It starts with a night phase. Everybody knows what they are and does not know the role of anybody else. There is one person of each role. I select the role assignments at random.
During the Day Phase... players pick 1 person to lynch. All players are free to participate in the discussion; to accuse; to reveal (or lie about) their role*; etc. Whenever a person feels he wants to nominate a person to be lynched, he nominates a lynchee (optionally you can give the reason you're nominating; this makes the game more fun) and another seconds the nomination (optionally give your reason). The lynchee then gets to say some final words in his defense before the aye-or-nay vote. A majority vote "aye" and the person will be lynched. The lynchee does not get a vote (so if there are 4 players, 2 ayes will lynch because that's a 2-1 vote). The players MUST lynch somebody during the day phase. When you are lynched, you are out and can say no more during the game. The day phase all takes place publically in this topic. All player interaction must be public
During the Night Phase... each person with a special power gets to PM the moderator (me; you can also e-mail me if you prefer at woodsalex@yahoo.com). The moderator acknowledges and responds if necessary and when all players have had their turns, night ends, the moderator reveals whether somebody died and who, and the Day Phase begins again. All night phase interaction takes place privately between moderator and individual.
The Roles
Villager - You are innocent and have no special powers.
Werewolf - You select one person to kill at night (except that you don't make a kill the first night). The moderator announces the death in the morning.
Hunter - If you are targeted and killed at night, your attacker dies too. You're on the side of the village; you win if they win.
Seer - Each night you select one person. You gaze into your crystal ball and you discover whether the person is a werewolf. You're on the side of the village.
Sorceror - You are not a werewolf, but you are on their team; you win if the werewolf wins. Each night (if you are alive) you select one person and you discover whether that person is the Seer.
*Note about talking about your role: The game absolutely hinges on information/misinformation about what role you are and the idea that nobody REALLY knows what somebody else is. You can claim to be whatever role you want, but you can't prove it like by forwarding somebody my e-mail that tells you what role you are. In an in-person game, you're assigned a role by picking from a deck of cards, and you can say anything you want but you can't ever show your card to prove what you are. So we're trying to emulate that. However, dead players can PM each other if they want and give each other information.

BUM, DIM, Jacehan, LinkPrime1, and Solomine are the players. There is one Hunter, one Seer, one Sorceror, one Villager, and one Werewolf.
(I listed everything in alphabetical order so y'all wouldn't think I was hinting by ordering them a certain way).
Correct, Roman... although there's a 20% chance that the Hunter gets lynched and dies the first day. Then if he doesn't and the Werewolf doesn't, there's a 33% chance that the Werewolf attacks the Hunter and dies.
I say we lynch Solo! He seems awfully suspicious with that whispering he's doing to himself...

First Day:
The tiny village of Piemess awakens to find their friend Alex mauled, slashed, and bitten to death in his home on Hey Dude Ranch. Considering that the city of Ziessbee just got over its own werewolf problem, the Piemessians create a task force to root out the werewolf.

Day 1: Dusk
The sun has gone its way, reminding all who see it of the danger of the night. The moon in the darkening sky is waxing, nearing full. The children have quieted, sensing the tension in the air. What will the villagers do? The blood of the fallen demands justice.
Players: I'm not going to have a hard deadline, but just know that you really can't know much or figure out much the first day. The seer has seen one person as has the sorceror. They are the only ones with information; one may try to lead you and one may try to mislead you. We're playing where somebody's gotta be lynched to move the game forward, although if you guys don't like how it turns out we'll make it optional next game.
Upon thorough manual investigation, Jace' argument, I must grudgingly admit, is correct, insofar as that's how hands work. I suppose that clears him of suspicion. But then we've gotta lynch someone. Let's see...
On the one hand, Solomine was very good friends with Alex, as evidenced by their shared taste in tea sets. On the other hand, werewolves are most dangerous to their friends. So he's clearly gotta go.
...And we really don't need to get to the other two suspects, because we really only need to lynch one person.

Note to players: after two people have nominated the same person, it goes to a vote. You can actually nominate a person but then vote to not kill them; sometimes this is a strategy to see who else votes what.
Also, we've already had a public vote, but let me know if you guys want to try private voting. You'd all PM me your votes and then when I got them all I'd post them. It would eliminate the possibility of one person's vote influencing the others.
So, LinkPrime1 has been nominated twice, by BUM and Solo (who we're assuming voted up, but tell me if otherwise). Second Night: Jacehan, ever vigilant, cleans and checks his gun before going to sleep. Weird, he thought, getting into bed, the way he jumped on me today! And here I am trying to protect the village! I do hope BUM isn't the werewolf... I rather like having him around. And with that, Jacehan drifted off to sleep...
Only to be awoken by a sudden sound! And then, an even more sudden silence... and that's when they locked eyes. Hunter and beast in the intensity of half a second. Jacehan didn't know who moved first. He rolled off the bed as BUM leapt onto it, sheets tearing with a rending rip. Grabbed his gun from underneath as werewolf turned and lunged. A gunshot, a howl, and a scream... and it was over.

Third Day: Dawn: Huh! The town is cleansed... the villagers won... if only they could see it! chuckled CJayC with merriment in his eyes. What good fun! He looked down upon the scene from above and suddenly a booming voice was heard. RISE, Piemessians! White light shone down upon town square as BUM, Jacehan, Link, DIM, HeyDude, and Solomine came together in a circle. Did anybody have the STRANGEST dream last night? asked HeyDude. Yes, BUM said with visible consternation, and I have THE WORST stomachache.
Hmmmm!
Huh. I thought for sure LP was the hunter. Clearly Jace wasn't the werewolf, because I was, so I figured the only reason he'd accuse someone so quickly was because a) he might get lucky and find the real werewolf and b) even if he didn't, he'd still get the real one at night.
You really got me on that one.
