To all my NFL PMSians, rejoice!

And for our resident Seahawks fan(s?), how about losing Matt Hasselbeck? It's truly the end of an era in Seattle.

Tarvaris Jackson is in... which makes me think you'll be drafting USC QB Matt Barkley next April.

Here's to hoping my Giants get this bad boy back on track!

...And era of mediocrity? He had 1 good game, admittedly probably the msot important in his career. Still, he was overshadowed by 1 unnecessary TD run by Lynch.

The above post is extremely short-sighted. Hasselbeck, all in all, was a good quarterback. Unfortunately, he was nothing close to a good QB from 2008 forward. From 2003 to 2007 he was just a notch below elite (especially 2007 when he had NO running game whatsoever).

All that said, I'm extremely excited to move forward. Jackson is nothing more than a stopgap. Based on their extremely schedule this year (practically all their non-NFC West matchups are easily losable), I see them taking a very highly rated QB in the 1st Round next year. I'm still excited about seeing what pieces they add this year.

Incredibly, and I will admit that. Perhaps I should say that he was good enough, and never had the team to support him with? I dunno, if you couldn't tell, I know nothing about the Seahawks. Still, he never got much publicity, and I still believe that he was completely overshadowed by Lynch's run in the Saints game. The TD was with 2 minutes left and they were already up by 10 at that point, if I remember correctly.

I can agree with most of that. That playoff game was definitely more exception than example in terms of Hasselbeck's play post-Alexander. That game as a whole was an aberration. Makes for a heck of a memory, but also one of the reasons why we weren't able to fill that many holes due to drafting at the #25 spot.

But enough about my Seahawks (for now). Your Jets seem to have a lot of free agents. Any big names that you don't expect to return?

Who don't I expect to return? Brad Smith. No way he'll come back. We drafted a replacement and grabbed an undrafted guy who's also supposed to be an exceptional gadget player. With the new kickoff rules, Brad's role diminishes even more. I have 0 clue about anyone else. If Holmes accepts the deal he was offered, Braylon could still come back...

Kodi, make sure you the, and don't forget to while you.
