Damn, you guys. I did about ten hours between Saturday and Monday last weekend. I meant to go to bed early tonight, but the likelihood of such a thing is slipping away.

The consensus among Trek nerds is that it's supposed to be Ronald Moore's "Voyager done right" and all I can say is "hell yeah it is." If anybody hasn't watched it, you should. It's got drama and suspense without being grimdark. It's got heart without being schmaltzy. It's got shaky, dynamic camera work without unnecessary lens flares.

I know it peaks and valleys later, and the ending is not spectacular, but damn, this is fine television.
Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

It really is.

I like the analogy of "It's the West Wing in space with killer androids."

I marathoned it earlier this year with my little sister (not nala). And I loved it through an through, even when I did have bits of it spoiled at times (I have difficulty not doing this to myself).
