Turns out that one of the few other people in the world willing to call themself "antisexual" lives in Brooklyn, so I offered to meet her for lunch in Manhattan on my way to New Jersey. Should be interesting. I'll have to hope that nobody has a real date in the same café at the same time, or the four of us might mutually annihilate.

So, what's antisexualism to you? Wikipedia said that the term isn't defined strictly; within antisexualism there are different views on some details.
The sort of antisexuality I endorse is viewing sexual feelings as an obstacle, since they can perniciously influence one's judgment and I reject the notion that hedonic tone is intrinsically important.

I tend not to tell people I'm sexually attracted to them, because (a) I'd be a bit creeped if somebody told me they found me attractive, and, y'know, golden rule, and (b) I'm afraid people would infer from my admission that I wanted a relationship with them.
To be clear, the gal I'm meeting is an aromantic asexual, so the feeling necessarily wouldn't be mutual. I will tell her I'm sexual, since she probably thinks I'm asexual, too.

It was pretty rad. We sat around in an Au Bon Pain in Port Authority Bus Terminal and discussed sexual attitudes and philosophy, psychology, science fiction, and Pokémon. She and another aromantic asexual antisexual are the only two people I've met who are even more introverted and reclusive than I am. Apparently we're a type.
