I had lunch at a teriyaki place today and I overheard what might be the weirdest conversation that I've ever overheard in my entire life. It went like this:
“Have you heard about Malaria?” - girl
“Oh yeah, isn’t that Dave’s friend? I think she’s from Russia.” - guy
“No, no, I thought she was from Germany.” - girl
And they talked about this without a hint of irony in their voices. Somewhere, there is a girl, possibly from Russia or Germany, hanging out with her friend Dave, named Malaria.
