I'm going to get to hear the president speak tomorrow.

I've generally been pretty neutral on him, but I think that seeing a president in person is one of those things to do if you ever get the chance.

Oh, and I totally feel like a rebel because I'll be missing two classes to see him, and I haven't missed a single class all year. But my concept of a rebel probably doesn't line up with most of the rest of the world.

Cool, get a picture with him. Or ask him how his policies are a benefit to pmsians

I wasn't able to do either of those, he sort of appeared, gave a speech, and quickly left. It was about tuition being too high and such, student loans having too high of interest, etc, so hard to disagree with.

He spoke at 1:20 or so. The doors opened at 10:00 AM. I arrived at 11, which was a mistake; I couldn't see a thing, except when I stood on my tiptoes, and even then, only when the people in front of me weren't blocking my view. Side note, I don't recommend being 5'4" if you can help it.

The semi funny thing that happened was in the middle of his speech, someone yelled, "OBAMA WE LOVE YOU!" and he was all, "I love you back!" So that was at least amusing.

He should have done it Conan style. "I love you too sir, now put your pants back on."

Incidentally, I'm a bit amused with my wording in this topic's title lining up with the fact that I didn't really get to see much of him.
