I remember when I was like eight my brother tried to explain what a quantum computer was and insisted that I read In Search of Schroedinger's Cat. Which I did in high school. But I still have no idea.

I guess it's one that uses uncuttable particles to track data.

Also, what's with switching from binary stuff to trinary stuff? I feel like that's a thing that people talk about in science fiction.

Quarks are smaller than electrons, so you can fit more data in the tubes without clogging them.

I've already had to learn binary, octal and hexadecimal for programming....I really don't feel like learning ternary, nonary and septemvigesimal as well.

And yes, I had to look those words up.
