I dare not turn on my actual PC as I'll get sucked into some thing or other, and I need to get to work on time for a conference call.but I fear I won't get home after work as I've agreed to a perhaps ill-advised midnight showing of the Avengers. So I'd best post now.
But yeah I've been pumped for that since I found out Joss Whedon wrote the screenplay. Big, dumb, summer blockbusting superhero movies are exactly what someone with his talents and style should be writing.

I follow Whedonesque, so I've known about this for some time. Really split on whether to stay home and study Friday evening, or try to see it (closest movie theatre requires a 20 minute bus ride to a mall, so pre-purchasing wasn't really feasible).
Speaking of Joss, did you see Cabin in the Woods? I'm not a horror fan at all, but I went to it since it had Joss' name attached. It was pretty good, though I think that it has more meaning to people who watch horror films as it is rather meta.
