So I'm in Chicago for my cousin's wedding right now. What should I see while I'm here?

Also, Does post a day may go by Gfaqs time? Because if it does, then I missed two days

There's a bean. A large, reflective bean.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

There's a lot of sweet buildings, and you can pretend Batman's watching you.

Was it a car or a cat I saw?

I'm irrationally annoyed with Chicago since they changed the name of the Sears tower, preventing people from creating a fantasy parallel universe version of Chicago containing the Seer's tower.

Willis Tower. Coincidence? I think not.

Also, now our fantasy versions of Chicago can contain 200% more willis.

As one of two native Chicagoans on PMS, I feel compelled to post in this topic.

There is, indeed, a bean. Many of us who actually live in this area avoid said bean. Other than that, if you're into museums and stuff like that, both the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry are very good places to check out. If you're into shopping, take a walk down Michigan Avenue. Even if you're not into shopping, I'd suggest you do so and head to Water Tower Place. Oh, and you may want to head out to Navy Pier as well!

And Spock, most of us still call it the Sears Tower. The only people who don't are the ones who moved to the area after the name change.

Make sure to try a big hot dog with everything (or as much everything as you like) and fries over at Byron's. Best fries ever. Best hot dog ever too.

Alright, everything sounds good! I'm planning on getting some Chicago style pizza too. Any recommendations?

This is one area in which I fail a bit as a Chicagoan. I actually prefer thin crust to the Chicago-style. That said, I'd check out any one of the following: Gino's East, Vito and Nick's, Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, I strongly recommend any of the first three places. It's very hard to go wrong with any sort of pizza place in Chicago or even out into the suburbs (though there are a couple nasty places in the far south suburbs).

Everything I have would be enough for someone else, but I want more.

SS, did you wind up getting pizza? If so, where? Did you like it? Details, man!

And yes, I'm back. In case you wanted any details concerning my absence, life, etc., I did post a whole return topic a few weeks back.

Yeah, we wound up getting pizza at Giordano's since it was nearby. It was delicious! In the end, it was still plain ol' pizza, but it was thicker and packed with a lot more toppings (or fillings, since they weren't on top).
