I met this guy when he was a senior in high school (he's now a junior in college) when I was assigned as his mentor for an outreach program I volunteered for. He currently works for an activity board at his school, putting on different programs each month for entertainment and increased student participation in the school. I guess a few weeks ago they started a poster campaign to get people to apply for the same job, and on his, he put the above quote.

There's something about that statement that makes my inner educator practically scream with joy. It's not exactly the most profound thing I've ever heard by any means, but it still speaks to me like some big truth about the higher educational (and overall life long learning) process.

I guess I just wanted to share. It makes a lot of sense to me, at least. Sort of reminds me of that shirt with "Right now, I am the oldest I have ever been" written on it, but with a slightly different twist. It also reminds me that even though I'm stuck at 5' 11", even I am still growing as a person.

Reminds me of something my grandmother used to say, "Anything can be done with God and a ladder."
