So with the new Steam Sale I am out eleven more bucks, because Fez was way off and then also the Walking Dead adventure. But sadly, tragedy struck when while being billed for the Walking Dead game, the billing went through but not the thing adding the game to my list of steam games.
I went and restarted the client and that had no effect, so I began the process for starting a billing dispute. It was a long and grueling process, involving setting up a parallel support account with Valve and confirmation e-mails and captchas and some other things.
The upshot is that by the time I was ready to file the billing dispute, I said "y'know, I'm going to check one more time just so I don't look like a jerk." And the issue had resolved itself even without a restart of the client.
Thanks, Valve. You have a pretty stable platform there.
