Last time I attempted this was back in high school and I only got to the part with the Punis before I stopped. I fired up the game this past weekend and found a save file about 45 minutes in, right before entering the castle where Hooktail is. Enjoying it so far but getting used to the battle system has been a weird challenge. Trying to get the hang of the Superguard but it's not really working.
It's everything I thought Sticker Star was going to be. It's a shame Sticker Star was totally unengaging.

Sticker Star had its moments, but yeah, TTYD is a lot better. Though is does sometimes get bogged down.
