Actually, I'd say that 8-Bit Theater is one of those comics that's better read in large chunks than a strip at a time.
The epilogue, though pretty, isn't very interesting.

Well, he had always intended to end the strip after getting through the game plot. I figure he just made a beeline for the closest ending that still fit the strip's style.
I don't mind so much, since he still has a few other projects going on. I'm currently following "How I Killed Your Master"
