I get upset when I read about irrational hate, too. I just don't get it, and because I can't figure out a way to make it stop, it's terribly frustrating and disheartening. But you're completely right, you shouldn't let it go unnoticed. Unfortunately, combating hate with hate doesn't usually solve anything. I always try to go for the "only love can conquer hate" approach, but that doesn't work on everyone, either. That doesn't mean we should stop trying to educate people and find a way to get rid of all the ignorance in the world, though. I can't stand it when people say to me, "Well, it's not like I can change anything, so why try?" Really? That's the most selfish, fatalist thing I've ever heard!
Also, props for not letting people patronize you. Seriously, that's freakin' awesome.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Youtube comments are really yucky. For example, whenever I listen to a song with an African American artist, one person has to throw out the "N" word and start a fight. It's just ridiculous and uncalled for. We are all people. We need to look out for and respect each other. I was always taught to never judge. I only treat people the way they treat me, and race or religion is never a factor.
