If you look at a map of NYC, I went from the tip of Long Island City all the way up to the Bronx, going around Randall's Island, and back.
And boy are my arms tired.

How'd you like it? First time going kayaking? Did you fall in?
Not my first time kayaking, but definitely the first time at that distance. My arms were in intense pain around 4 in the morning. Also first time kayaking in a river, not a lake, to the water got pretty rough, especially from the wakes of the big boats. But it was pretty epic.

I had a fun kayaking trip down the Colorado, from Hoover Dam down about... 12 miles? It was not a difficult trip- no rapids at all. But the canyon was awesome and there were some really cool caves and hot springs.
I never really had been before, other than one little trip down another lazy river, and that was a lot of fun, too.

Haven't gone kayaking, but I've done white-water rafting before, combined with camping out near the riverbank. It was quite a memorable experience, and I've never seen so many stars at once, and so clearly.
