I hate when I can't turn my mind off work.

It's mostly because it's e start of the school year, but I am just constantly thinking about scheduling, math, lessons, etc. even during times when...I shouldn't be. Other activities tht should require my full attention. It's really annoying! I'm sure it'll pass, though.

I have similar compulsive-planning problems sometimes. It's particularly annoying when I'm trying to sleep. It's not clear which things I compulsively plan, though.

Yes, Alex. I mean, other things too, like when I was playing Poker with my family last night (and didn't do as well as I normally do). But that's the most annoying example of it.

I initially read this as a dialog and got pretty confused. Yes, the sort of planning that goes on when I'm actually trying to do something else is rarely useful. I do my real planning during the day, at my desk, in Emacs.
