I stopped reading recreationally a year or two ago. My teenage self would be horrified, I think, since I long identified as a bookworm. But I fell out of the habit, and I've been surprisingly apathetic about it. How about you folks?

They say I'm just scared. Yes, I am scared. But that doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Eh, not much. I keep telling myself I'm gonna read A Clash of Kings, but I can't find the time. When I do, I'd rather just play Borderlands 2 (fantastic game btw, if you were at all interested in the series you should totally pick it up).
*topic hijack*
I've kinda got the same thing going on with video games for me. I play Kingdom Hearts: 365/2 Days a bit since it's on the DS, and a little bit of BL2...but since coming to college I really haven't played like I did in high school. It makes me sad really, I'm trying to get back into it =/
Since going to college, only like 5 or 6 games really captivated my attention (this is over the past 3+ years)- Bioshock, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of the Abyss, Persona 3, Borderlands 2, CoD series (just for online).
Meh...

The last book I read was my own, the one I wrote 8 years ago, as a prelude to finally editing it into something good. But for an actual book, prior to that I read The Apocalypse Codex, the fourth book in Charles Stross's Laundry books (a series about the British agency that protects against occult threats, combining Bond, Office Space, and Lovecraft).

I read at a pretty slow pace. I probably only get through less than a dozen full-sized books per year. Currently I'm reading a book compiling the known shorter fiction of Virginia Woolf.

I can safely say that the last physical book I read purely for pleasure and not because of any class or other obligation was probably Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and that was back in 2007. This is actually retrospectively depressing for me. I did read a few good books for classes, though, including The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (even if it is pop-psychology) and another sort-of pop-psychology book, Everything Bad is Good For You (I forget by who, though.)
I picked up America is in the Heart (a semi-autobiographical novel by Carlos Bulosan, a rather well-known Filipino American figure) several years ago but still have yet to read it. Apparently it's pretty essential for Filipino Americans, so I should probably read i.t Since then I guess I haven't really found anything else that I've wanted to read.
I did read a "reminder" online that I should read Cloud Atlas before its movie adaptation comes out next month, but I don't really know anything about it other than the fact that it exists. Has anyone read Cloud Atlas and can recommend it? I feel like reading is a habit I really should get back into on my way to being a well-rounded adult.
