I'm inclined to agree, when the vomit is shown on screen instead of merely cued with a sound. The episode of Histeria about Ancient Rome did the right thing by sticking to sound effects to portray the vomitorium. But I wrinkled my nose at that 8-Bit Theater strip where Sarda makes Black Mage vomit up… something. I sent an email to Brain Clevinger chastising him for showing when he should have told in spite of his clear awareness that telling can be superior to showing (proof: http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/07/23/episode-059-was-all-that-really-necessary/ ). He replied by quoting my statement that "It's not funny, just gross" and adding "I think you may have found the point."
