What do you think of the Dummies series? I love the reference-for-the-rest-of-us philosophy, although some of the structural features, like the Part of Tens, seem like pointless gimmicks. I got a lot out of an old copy of Macs for Dummies, back in the days of yore when I ran Mac OS 8, and I recently learned a few things from Personal Finance for Dummies. I wasn't too impressed by a preview of Perl for Dummies.

They're okay! I read a Latin for Dummies. It was pretty cool. Noticed some typos and pronunciation errors, though... kind of weird for a book supposed to be teaching me...
