I've decided I want to go through my music collection and separate out the songs that are just winter songs, as opposed to explicitly Christmas (or the rare few Hannukah/New Years) songs, since winter is longer than the holiday season, so those songs should be acceptable for longer.
(For example, Let It Snow! and Winter Wonderland are both winter songs.)

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

So not as many as I thought there would be when I went through iTunes. 50 out of the 475 songs I had in the Holiday playlist are now tagged as winter songs. They were disqualified if they referred to Jesus, Santa, gift giving, Yule, or Channukah, even if they don't explicitly mention them.
Notable songs I switched:
Sleigh Ride
Jingle Bells
Jingle Bell Rocks
Let It Snow!
Winter Wonderland
Snowmen
Frosty the Snowman
Snow
Baby It's Cold Outside
Walking in the Air
A Marshmallow World
Song for a Winter's Night
Not that there aren't more winter songs, such as California Dreamin', I just either don't have them or didn't have them mixed in with the Christmas songs.

I've always felt that California Dreamin' has more of an autumnal mood, although the setting is winter. Perhaps it's because of the line "All the leaves are brown".

True, but no one sitting around wishing they were someplace warm during the autumn. Well, okay, some people do, but not nearly as much as in the winter.
