In light of Thanksgiving, and the fact that seeing that our board has some 13 topics and James has made more than half of them, I thought I'd try to contribute.

My grandpa passed away about three weeks ago. After my dad had just got settled back here after going to the PI for the first time, we got the call late on a Sunday afternoon and we immediately made arrangements for my dad to go back to the PI so that he and his siblings could help with all of the business that needs to happen in the post-death of a loved one. He was there for about three weeks and came back on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
Things had been surprisingly peaceful at home. My sister was a wreck. The last time one of our grandparents passed away was in 2001- I was 12 and she was 6 or 7, so I think it was her first time really processing and dealing with a close death in the family. She's doing much better now.
True to her word, my grandmother sent back the money that I had contributed for the hospital fund and fees for my grandfather. My grandfather had built a very strong support system for himself through his business partners over the years and I am extremely grateful that his partners and friends have taken such great lengths to ensure that my grandma will be comfortable and continue to be supported even in her loss. My dad also told me that he would be working to pay back the money that I gave him to help him with his expenses on his first trip, so I'll be back to where I was soon enough.
My grandma will be returning to live in Los Angeles for a few months with the rest of my dad's family for awhile starting in December and will be there until June. I'm making plans to visit sometime in the next few months.
In other news, the group I used to dance with had their first real performance a couple weeks ago and while I was extremely proud of them, I definitely got a bit of performer envy and I pitched an idea to another friend of mine that also recently "retired" from his dance group that maybe we could get together and create a set to perform, either at a show or make some videos out of it. I'll let you guys know if anything comes from that.
I'm thankful for everyone here always being here to hear me out. I hope that this holiday was good for everyone and that if there are things going on that you need to deal with, that everything goes smoothly and things turn up soon enough. I get that my posting style is perhaps unorthodox to what GameFAQs boards were intended to be, but I didn't want to go so long without letting you all know what was up.
Also, if you're looking for a game to play, pick up Sleeping Dogs. I finished it recently and it was fantastic.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.
