Alright so my iPod touch has voice recognition features so I decided to test them out going to read a poem or rather recited from memory and see how it does. Oh and I'm not editing any words go awry including the error I made a few moments ago because actually the second sentence is the second statement I've already read the previous sentence.

Ode to spot by Lieut. Cmdr. data

Felis cactus is your text about nomenclature
And endothermic quadruped carnivorous by nature
Your visual olfactory's and auditory senses
Contribute to your hunting skills natural defenses

I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations
Singular development and communications
That obviate your basic animistic predilections
For a rhythmic stroking of your furniture demonstrate affection

The tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents
You would not be so agile if you left counterbalance
And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion
It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion

Oh spot, the complex levels of behavior that you display
Cannot a fairly well-developed cognitive array
And though you are not sent to you and do not comprehend
I nonetheless consider Yorkshiremen valued friend

"Yorkshiremen" in place of "you a true and" is funny. And it makes me think that the implementation isn't as clever as it could be. I'd think that the context would weigh against a word as rare as "Yorkshiremen".

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

It occurs to me that if you read Finnegans Wake to a voice-recognition program, the result might be more legible than the original.
