Don't let this little abode die on us, guys!

PMS isn't dead. It's just, y'know, resting its eyes. Having some quiet time. Helping out with the compost. Getting to know the earthworms. Making friends with Saint Pete. Getting fitted for wings. Saving bandwidth. Becoming read-only. Relocating to the big database cluster in the sky. You know what I mean.

One man's converging evidence is another man's pilpul.

If PMS were dead, we couldn't post it on PMS.
Essentially, as long as we can complain about PMS dying, it will never die?

I think it's because the way we use social media is changing. Message boards were sort of the prototype for how social media is now, right? Except instead of making topics, we make statuses or tweet about something. Admittedly these days, it's hard for me to come up with something that feels like it requires an entire topic.

Yeah same here. I agree with Kylo.
That's why I've started that initiative in that other topic.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Or some of us could just be finishing up their hellish semesters...
Is it "their" or "his or her" in that situation? I forget if "some" is singular or not and I've been staring at that sentence for like two minutes trying to figure it out.

Well, there is a new accent of n00b language. It's called: Vet LUEser goes Foreign!-MegaSpy22
Those must be the pants of the gods!-Digitalpython
I would treat "some" as grammatically plural. (And syntactically plural!)

My post frequency typically takes a hit at the end of a semester.

Really? I find message boards much better than other forms of media. At least, PMS. The general intellect level here is a lot better for interesting topics. I rarely like to put anything on facebook and only use it to communicate with a few friends about plans.

I think that's a good way to look at it: If I post it here (rather than FB) it'll reach a smaller audience, but the discussion will probably be more fruitful.

A post here is also more likely to be seen by the audience that is here. It's easy to miss Facebook and Twitter posts. Message board topics linger.

In our case, it lingers on the front page for quite a while before getting purged.
To be honest, I've always had trouble posting more than a few sentences at a time on this board. Even when I have, I feel like all I contributed was a rambling incoherent mess.
