I believe they were called paper mario vending machine? The main thing is, from around 2006 or so, I remmeber these threads actually having had a very great story within them that reminded me of some sort of dnd campaign, it was completely unrelated to everything but it was hosted within the paper mario vending machines with occasional "on topic" posts in it inbetween parts of the story.
It was more like a roleplay of sorts between those users, I think the first letter of the usernames may have been letters like K or G... gah, it's been so damn long and I have remembered so very little from it, just that there was a great story I randomly ended up finding that I really enjoyed reading. Much of the characters in it were dragons, and from some part late in the story one of them fought a dwarf dragon that was king of some nation or whatever, I feel like it was called ashleaf or something, and in that part he got is wing cut off by one of the main characters of it. I also think one of the names of the characters was Xavier or something, some of the names started with an S, a C... It's so hard to remember when I in the end paid little attention, and it's knocking at my damn head so hard.
Maybe there are possibly still some long time lurkers here from back in the day? Maybe, just maybe? My chances of ever finding the people ever again and reading it are basically none, because its been so long, so much has happened, and I retained so very little information from it.
