The AV cables will work (backwards compatible all the way from SNES through GCN, if not also the Wii), but the AC adapter will be different.

IIRC, it's because both GC and NGC were already being used for something else, possibly by a different company. If you look on the back of GCN controllers, you can see the designation "DOL-***," probably standing for DOLPHIN.

I maintain to this day that "Dolphin" would've been a better name, although I admit "Wii" might be better than "Revolution" purely for its brevity.

Yes, be happy, the N64 is a superb system. It shouldn't be too difficult to find what you need online if for some reason this other arrangement is unsuitable. Some of my favorite games are for the 64 (and most of the rest for the SNES)
