Visiting some fam in southern CA, including my grandma from the Philippines who has been here since my grandpa passed away in November.
I'm disproportionately excited for all of the food I can eat here that I don't have at home. In-N-Out will soon be in me. Mmmmmm.

I definitely understand that. Maybe it's just age (hah) catching up to me, but the last time I was here about a year and a half ago his and his sister (9 years old) loved playing New Super Mario Bros Wii with each other and asked me to help them beat some of the harder levels, and then wanted to play me in Brawl (they stood no chance, even in 2v1.)
It's definitely an abrupt shift in taste and tone for him to talk about having fun playing Mario to "killing everyone and everything" in Assassin's Creed.

Like I said on FB, my little niece went directly from Angry Birds to Assassin's Creed.
She's going to know so disproportionately much about the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem growing up. I am proud of her.

On my last day there, I walked with my cousin 1.5 miles from my aunt's house to the nearest In-N-Out so I could have it one more time before I left. Walked because there were no cars available for us to borrow. Totally worth it.
